No, because AccountBooks Online is a cloud based system, you do not need to install anything special. You just need an internet connection and a browser.

Can I have multiple people assigned to a company?

Yes, you can assign multiple users to a company, these users will be assigned a role which has set permissions on what they can access and do within the company.

Will AccountBooks Online be here tomorrow?

Yes, AccountBooks Online will be here tomorrow. If for any reason AccountBooks Online will be closing down, plenty of notice will be given and the opportunity to download your data.

Is AccountBooks Online secure?

AccountBooks Online takes security and privacy very seriously, while nothing is 100% secure, we take as many steps as we can to ensure your data is safe. This includes server software update and periodic backups, strong user password enforcement and 2FA option, HTTPS only access and restricted administration user accounts to ensure only authorised people can access the parts of the system they need.

Would it not be safer to store my data on my computer?

You may think it's safer to store your data on your own computer, however, do your perform periodic backups and store them in other locations? Or install the latest updates as soon as your can? Or have a strong and different password on your computers' user account and document that contains your accounts?

Your computer probably has a wide array of applications installed, this opens it up to greater risk of infection from malware (computer viruses). If your computer crashes or breaks due to software or hardware, you may lose your accounts' data if you do not have a backup.

The servers that AccountBooks Online runs on only has the bare minimum software installed and is managed 24/7 by the hosting company. So overall your data is probably safer being stored with AccountBooks Online.

How do I change my password?

If you need to change your password you can do so in two ways. The first is via your account page within the app, the second is via a reset email (available only when logged out).
